Manumission papers, records of slave births, bills of sale and various ordinances and court records relating to the life of slaves can be found within the collections of the Municipal Archives. Microfilm and Finding Aids are available in the Research Room in room 103.

*Records that have not been microfilmed must be requested by patrons in advance. Access to these records is dependent upon the condition of the records and is at the sole discretion of the Archivist.
